<div itemprop="description">Sylvester A Murray, 73, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Toronto Western Health Center in Toronto following illness due to heart related issues. <br /> <br /> <br />He leaves his companion Avis Phillips; his sons, Barry Murray, Lensford Murray and Sylvester (Peter) Murray and his three grandchildren; Liam George Murray, Malachi Murray and Taraji Murray, many siblings and close friends. <br /> <br />Born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica the son of Albert and Leanora Murray, he moved to Toronto, Canada in the early 70's becoming a long time resident and citizen. <br /> <br />He worked at Canada Packers in the Stockyards District (Keele &amp; St. Clair, aka The Junction) for almost 40 years. He was an around-the-clock hard worker that farmed, landscaped and did carpentry on the side for MANY clients paid and volunteered. <br /> <br />He enjoyed sports like boxing, track and field and cheered on all Toronto sports teams Raptors, Blue Jays, and even the Leafs. He had high spirits and often was the life of the party. He worked harder than most and deservedly played hard. <br /> <br />Sylvester was a very generous person, any person that he knew that was in need could ask him for help of any kind (wisdom, physical labour, financial) and he gave expecting NOTHING (Luke 6:35).</div>
